Indian Agro Products for Europe, Tested Lot by Lot Before Shipment
Nine markets, three sets of rules, and documents prepared for the border where your cargo is checked.
Elysium Agri Corporation is an exporter in Jamnagar, Gujarat. We ship spices, sesame, peanuts, dehydrated vegetables, pulses and psyllium to importers, packers and food manufacturers across Europe, from the ports of Mundra, Kandla and Pipavav. India is already a core origin here: it shipped about US$30.6 million of dried vegetables to Germany in 2025.
Europe is not one rulebook. EU members share one customs tariff and one system of border controls. The United Kingdom runs its own controls and has had a trade agreement with India in force since July 2026. Serbia and Ukraine apply national rules. Choose your country below for the ports, documents and import steps that apply to you.

- A laboratory report for each lot from an accredited laboratory: aflatoxin for peanuts, Salmonella and pesticide residues for sesame, pesticide residues for spices. See Lab Testing.
- The right border documents. In the EU, Indian groundnuts, sesame and certain spices are under increased official controls under Regulation (EU) 2019/1793, and your agent pre-notifies with a CHED-D in TRACES. Great Britain keeps its own list of controlled foods.
- A recognised food safety certificate. European importers typically ask for BRCGS, IFS or FSSC 22000.
- Labels in the national language for retail packs, with peanuts and sesame declared as allergens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the import duty the same in every European country?
Within the EU, yes. The Common Customs Tariff is identical in every member state and is charged where the goods are first cleared; national VAT differs. The United Kingdom, Serbia and Ukraine each apply their own tariff. The EU-India Free Trade Agreement was concluded in January 2026 but is not yet in force.
Are Indian peanuts, sesame and spices checked at the EU border?
Yes. Indian groundnuts, sesame and certain spices are under increased official controls under Regulation (EU) 2019/1793. Consignments need the certificates and accredited laboratory results that the regulation lists, and the importer pre-notifies in TRACES. We prepare these documents for the border control post you name.
How long does shipping from India to Europe take?
It depends on the port, the service and whether the vessel sails through Suez or around the Cape. Each country page gives the current position for that market. Every quote states the routing and the expected transit, so you can plan stock with a firm date.
