Indian Feed Ingredients for Poultry, Dairy and Aqua Feed
Elysium Agri Corporation exports animal feed ingredients from Jamnagar, Gujarat: Soyabean Meal, Rapeseed Meal, De-Oiled Cake, Corn DDGS, De-Oiled Rice Bran, Millet Meal and feed-grade Corn (Maize). We supply compound feed mills, poultry and aqua integrators, dairy feed makers and feed traders, in containers or bulk vessels.
India exported 37.7 lakh tonnes of oilmeals in 2025-26 (SEA). Rapeseed meal is now the largest line, with China the biggest buyer, while India's grain-ethanol boom has made it a new exporter of DDGS. Indian soybeans and maize are non-GMO, which matters to European and non-GMO feed buyers.

Feed Export Policy, HS Codes and Limits (2026)
India banned de-oiled rice bran exports from July 2023 to cool cattle-feed prices; DGFT Notification 37/2025-26 made them free again on 3 October 2025. China accepts Indian rapeseed meal only from plants registered with its customs authority (GACC).
The EU and UK cap aflatoxin B1 in feed materials at 20 µg/kg (Directive 2002/32/EC), free gossypol in cottonseed meal at 1,200 mg/kg and volatile mustard oil in rapeseed products at 4,000 mg/kg. Asian buyers usually set aflatoxin by contract (often 50 µg/kg). We test every lot against the buyer's limit.
| Product | ITC-HS | Benchmark | Key limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Soyabean meal | 2304 00 30 | SEA 48/2.5 | AFB1 ≤ 20 (EU) |
| Rapeseed meal | 2306 49 00 | SEA 38/2.5 | Mustard oil ≤ 4,000 |
| Groundnut DOC | 2305 00 xx | Trade spec | AFB1 ≤ 20 (EU) |
| Corn DDGS | 2303 30 00 | USGC reference | AFB1 ≤ 20 (EU) |
| Feed maize | 1005 90 00 | Codex CXS 153 | AFB1 ≤ 20 (EU) |
Limits in µg/kg or mg/kg at 12% moisture. India has changed feed export policy at short notice before (DORB 2023). We check DGFT status before every contract.
Feed Loads and When to Buy
- Loads
- Oilmeals load about 20–22 MT in a 20 ft container in 50 kg bags; light feeds such as DDGS and DORB fill by volume at about 16–20 MT, so pellets or 40 ft containers are cheaper per tonne. Maize loads 24–26 MT.
| Ingredient | Made from | Best supply |
|---|---|---|
| Soyabean meal | Kharif soybean (harvest Sep–Oct) | Oct–Mar |
| Rapeseed meal | Rabi mustard (harvest Feb–Apr) | Mar–Aug |
| Groundnut DOC | Kharif groundnut (harvest Oct–Nov), Gujarat | Nov–Apr |
| DORB | Rice milling (kharif and rabi rice) | Year-round |

| Maize / millet meal | Kharif, rabi and summer crops | Oct–Dec; Apr–Jun |
Choosing a Feed Ingredient Supplier in India
- Grade in numbers: protein and sand / silica (e.g. SEA 48/2.5), not just "hi-pro".
- Aflatoxin per lot: a Certificate of Analysis from each shipment, against your limit.
- Processing checks: urease and KOH solubility for soymeal; sulphur and colour for DDGS.
- Export policy: confirm the product is free to export on the day you contract.
- Market access: GACC registration for China; GMP+ for many EU buyers.
