Elysium Agri Corporation is a herbs and seeds exporter in India, based in Jamnagar, Gujarat. We supply psyllium husk, psyllium seeds, chia seeds and dry ginger in whole, sliced and powdered forms to supplement makers, pharmaceutical and food companies, tea blenders and spice grinders.
Gujarat is the centre of the world's psyllium trade: about 90% of India's psyllium is processed in and around Unjha, and India supplies about 85–90% of world demand. Our Psyllium Husk and Psyllium Seeds are sourced through Unjha.

Export Registrations, HS Codes and EU Rules
These three products fall under three different export councils, and the EU treats them differently. Indian ginger is listed for ethylene oxide checks at the EU border, so it needs an official certificate; psyllium and chia are not on the list for India, but buyers still expect lot-wise lab reports.

Container Loads and When to Buy
Psyllium and chia are rabi crops, sown from October to December. Chia is harvested in February and March, and new-crop psyllium reaches Unjha in March and April. Ginger for drying is harvested 7–8 months after planting, mainly from December to February.

Choosing a Psyllium, Chia or Ginger Supplier in India
- Purity with numbers: "99% psyllium husk" should come with LEM, HEM and swell volume, not just a grade name.
- Heavy metals: ask for lead results on psyllium for supplement use.
- Micro results for chia: plate count and Salmonella for your lot; EU buyers reject high counts.
- ETO certificate for ginger: required for every EU consignment of Indian ginger.
- Realistic loading: whole psyllium husk loads about 9 MT per 20 ft, not 18; check your landed cost.

What is the difference between psyllium husk and psyllium seed?
Psyllium seed is the whole seed of Plantago ovata (isabgol). Psyllium husk is its outer coat, about 25% of the seed's weight, milled off and sold as a soluble fibre.

Does Indian ginger need an ETO certificate for the EU?
Yes. Indian ginger (whole, sliced and ground) is in Annex II of Regulation (EU) 2019/1793 for ethylene oxide, so every EU consignment needs an official certificate and lab results, with 20% border checks. Psyllium and chia from India are not on that list.
Can Indian chia seeds be sold in the EU?
Yes. Chia is an authorised novel food in the EU and can be sold as such, in bulk or pre-packed. Heat-treated foods have limits, and buyers expect low microbial counts.
How many tonnes of psyllium husk fit in a container?
Whole psyllium husk is very light, so a 20 ft container holds only about 9–9.5 MT, and a 40 ft high cube about 20 MT. Husk powder loads about 16–18 MT per 20 ft.
Can I mix psyllium, chia and ginger in one container?
