Indian Grains for Mills, Feed and Food

Elysium Agri Corporation exports Indian grains and grain products from Jamnagar, Gujarat: Wheat Grain and Wheat Flour, non-GMO Corn Grain, Corn Grits and Corn Flour, and Millet Grain. We supply flour and feed mills, brewers, snack and cereal makers, and food importers, in containers or bulk.

India is the world's second-largest wheat producer and largest millet producer, and a major maize grower. A record 2026 wheat crop and large government stocks led India to lift its wheat and flour export ban on 24 August 2026, while maize exports are rising again on competitive prices.

POLICY & COMPLIANCE

Grain Export Policy, HS Codes and Standards (2026)

India banned wheat exports in May 2022 and restricted flour exports soon after. On 24 August 2026, DGFT Notifications 35/2026-27 and 34/2026-27 made wheat, atta, maida and semolina free to export again (see Wheat Grain for the timeline). Indian maize is non-GMO, as India has approved no GM maize.

Mycotoxins are the main quality risk in grains. We test aflatoxin on every maize and millet lot, and DON, zearalenone, fumonisins and ochratoxin as the destination requires (EU Reg 2023/915; EU feed Directive 2002/32).

BUYER CHECKLIST

Choosing a Grain Supplier in India

  • Current export policy: confirm the product is free to export on the day you contract.
  • Quality numbers: protein, test weight and falling number for wheat; moisture and broken for maize.
  • Mycotoxins: aflatoxin (and DON, fumonisins for EU) tested per lot, not a generic certificate.
  • Phytosanitary needs: e.g. Karnal bunt declarations for wheat where the importer requires them.
  • Non-GMO: Indian maize is non-GMO; ask for the declaration.
