Indian Maize and Grains for Vietnam's Feed Mills and Food Processors
Feed-grade maize first, with corn grits, corn flour and millets for processors who need them.
Vietnam took about 22% of India's 1.25 million tonnes of maize exports in 2025-26, behind only Bangladesh and Nepal. Elysium Agri Corporation, an exporter in Jamnagar, Gujarat, offers feed-grade maize to Vietnamese feed mills and trading houses, along with corn grits, corn flour, millets, wheat and flour.
Maize is the grain this market buys from India, so most of this page is about it. APEDA, India's agricultural export authority, positions Indian maize as non-GMO. After the first cargo, moisture, broken kernels and clean quarantine papers decide the next order.

What Maize and Grains Need to Enter Vietnam
Maize enters Vietnam as a plant product. Each consignment needs a phytosanitary certificate and plant-quarantine clearance, and passes a state food-safety inspection at a reduced, normal or tightened level. Maize bought as a feed ingredient is also measured against QCVN 01-190:2020.
- The exporting country must be on Vietnam's approved list under Decree 15/2018. We confirm the current status for your product with your quote.
- Corn flour or grits sold in consumer packs need a product self-declaration by you and a Vietnamese label. Nutrition labelling on pre-packaged food has been mandatory since 1 January 2026.
- An AITIGA certificate of origin is needed to claim the preferential duty rate for your HS line.
How Your Grain Travels
- Typical transit from Mundra is about 11 to 12 days to Ho Chi Minh City and 13 to 14 days to Hai Phong, confirmed with each quote.
- Check harvest timing in the Crop Calendar before you fix your buying window.
- Work out tonnes per container with the Container Load Calculator.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I include in a maize enquiry?
State the moisture limit, broken kernel and foreign matter limits, aflatoxin limit, monthly tonnage and discharge port. Your quote is written to that specification and the lot is tested against it.
Can I buy maize in containers instead of a full vessel?
Container shipments suit buyers who want smaller parcels or delivery to Cat Lai, Hai Phong or Da Nang. Bulk shipment suits larger feed mills.
When is Indian maize available?
India harvests maize in more than one season, so availability changes through the year. See the Crop Calendar for timing, and ask for current crop availability in your quote request.
Do corn grits or flour need a Vietnamese label?
Bulk bags leave India marked in English with product name, origin, net weight, lot and dates. If you use the product in your own factory, no supplementary label is needed. For resale, your company adds the Vietnamese label.
