India is the world's largest exporter of dehydrated onion, and Gujarat alone shipped about 83,000 tonnes of dehydrated white onion in 2023-24. Choosing a Dehydrated Onion and Garlic Supplier
- Size in numbers: "chopped" or "granules" must come with mm or mesh ranges.
- Micro grade: plate count, coliforms, E. coli and Salmonella limits for your use; steam-sterilised if ready-to-eat.
- No ETO: ask for steam sterilisation, not ethylene oxide.
- Metal detection and sortex: ask how foreign matter is controlled.
- Realistic loads: onion flakes load only about 6–7 MT per 20 ft; check landed cost per kg.
