The region is not one rulebook. The five Gulf states share a customs tariff, but each has its own food authority. Jordan, Iraq, Israel and Turkey apply national rules. Choose your country below.

Other Markets We Serve in the Middle East

Iran

Bandar Abbas is the main container port, with Chabahar as a second option. Sea routes to Iran are disrupted at present, so routing and transit are confirmed with each quote. The Iran Food and Drug Administration registers imported food, and labels are in Persian. You can ask for any product in our range. Terms and payment routes are agreed case by case within applicable regulations.

Syria

Latakia is the main container port, with Tartous as the alternative. The Ministry of Economy and Industry sets import rules, and your company needs a commercial registration that covers imports. These rules have changed recently, so the document list is re-confirmed for each shipment. You can ask for any product in our range. Terms and payment routes are agreed case by case within applicable regulations.

Yemen

Aden is the main commercial container port. Port availability can change, so the discharge port, routing and transit are confirmed with each quote. The Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization is responsible for the safety of imported food. India already supplies seed spices and turmeric to Yemen. Terms and payment routes are agreed case by case within applicable regulations.

  • A chamber-certified certificate of origin and, in most markets, a health certificate, prepared separately for each destination.
  • Halal certificates, and kosher supervision for Israel.
