Indian Peanuts From the Saurashtra Groundnut Belt

Elysium Agri Corporation is a peanut exporter in India, based in Jamnagar, Gujarat. We supply raw groundnut kernels and processed peanuts to importers, snack makers, confectioners and peanut butter manufacturers who buy in full container loads.

Gujarat grows the largest share of India's groundnut crop, and most of it comes from Saurashtra: Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Amreli. As a groundnut exporter in India with our office in the middle of this belt, we buy from farmers and mandis we know, check each lot before purchase and move it to APEDA-registered units for shelling, grading and storage.

India exported 6.64 lakh tonnes of groundnuts worth US$ 691 million in 2025-26, mainly to Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, China and the Philippines (APEDA).

Aflatoxin-Tested Peanuts, Lot by Lot

Aflatoxin is the first thing a peanut buyer checks, and the first reason shipments are rejected. Under APEDA's export procedure for peanuts and peanut products, every export lot from India must come from an APEDA-registered unit, be sampled at a registered warehouse and be tested at an APEDA-approved lab. We follow that process for every shipment, whatever the destination.

  1. 1

    Sourcing

We pre-check farm lots for moisture and visible mould before we buy.

  2. 2

    Processing

Shelling, grading, sorting and storage at APEDA-registered peanut units.

  3. 3

    Sampling

Samples drawn at the registered warehouse, following the EU sampling method.

  4. 4

    Lab testing

Aflatoxin B1 and total aflatoxin tested at an APEDA-approved lab, which issues a Certificate of Analysis.

  5. 5

    Certificate of Export

APEDA issues the Certificate of Export through Peanut.Net, and the phytosanitary certificate follows.

We test to the limit of your market. Common limits:

Choosing Peanut Exporters in India for Bulk Orders

Before you place a bulk order with any Indian peanut exporter, check these six points. Here is how Elysium Agri meets each one.

  • Lot-wise aflatoxin report: ask for a Certificate of Analysis from an APEDA-approved lab for your lot, not a generic report. We send it before loading.
  • Grade range: a good supplier offers Bold, Java and TJ in several counts. We do, from 35/40 to 80/90.
  • Location: exporters in Saurashtra buy close to the crop and ship through Mundra or Pipavav. We are in Jamnagar.
  • Samples and documents: pre-shipment samples of your lot, plus phytosanitary certificate, APEDA Certificate of Export and certificate of origin.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who are the best peanut exporters in India for bulk orders?

For bulk orders, choose a peanut exporter in India that ships from APEDA-registered units, gives a lot-wise aflatoxin Certificate of Analysis from an APEDA-approved lab, offers Bold, Java and TJ grades, and loads full containers. Elysium Agri Corporation in Jamnagar, Gujarat meets all four and ships 20 ft and 40 ft FCL orders.

Which Indian companies export Bold and Java groundnut kernels?

Elysium Agri Corporation, a peanut exporter in Jamnagar, Gujarat, exports Bold groundnut kernels in counts 35/40 to 50/60 and Java kernels in counts 50/60 to 80/90 per ounce, as well as TJ, blanched, roasted, diced and in-shell peanuts. Other Gujarat exporters also ship both grades; compare them on aflatoxin testing, counts and documents.

Can I buy bulk peanuts from India with aflatoxin testing?

Yes. Every peanut export lot from India must be tested for aflatoxin at an APEDA-approved lab before APEDA issues a Certificate of Export. Elysium Agri tests each lot to your market's limit, for example the EU limit of 2 µg/kg B1 and 4 µg/kg total aflatoxins, and sends you the Certificate of Analysis before loading.

Who are the top groundnut exporters in Gujarat?

Gujarat's groundnut exporters are concentrated in Saurashtra, around Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Amreli, close to the crop and to Mundra and Pipavav ports. Elysium Agri Corporation is a Jamnagar-based groundnut exporter shipping Bold, Java and TJ kernels, with aflatoxin testing and APEDA certification for every lot.

What is the difference between Bold and Java peanuts?

Bold peanuts are large, long kernels with a tan to red skin, used mainly for salted and roasted snacks. Java peanuts are smaller, round kernels with a light pink skin, preferred for coated peanuts, confectionery and peanut butter. Java kernels usually have higher counts per ounce than Bold.

What does a peanut count like 40/50 mean?

The count is the number of kernels in one ounce (28.35 g). A 40/50 count means 40 to 50 kernels per ounce, so a lower count means bigger kernels. Bold peanuts usually run from 35/40 to 50/60, and Java peanuts from 50/60 to 80/90.

What is the HS code for groundnut kernels?

Shelled groundnut kernels that are not roasted fall under HS code 1202.42. Peanuts in shell are 1202.41, and roasted or otherwise prepared peanuts, including peanut butter, are 2008.11. India's 8-digit code for shelled groundnut kernels starts with 1202 42. Check the full national code with your customs broker.

How many tonnes of peanuts fit in a container?

Use our Container Load Calculator to plan your order.

When is the new peanut crop available in India?

India's main kharif groundnut crop arrives from October to December, and a smaller summer crop from April to June. Most export contracts for the new crop are booked between September and December. Our Crop Calendar shows arrivals month by month.
