Indian Agro Commodities for South Asia, by Sea, Road and Rail

Pulses, spices, grains and feed ingredients for India's nearest markets, with papers matched to your import permit.

Elysium Agri Corporation exports agro commodities from Jamnagar, Gujarat to buyers across South Asia. Every lot is tested at an NABL-accredited lab and comes with a Certificate of Analysis. Sea cargo loads at Mundra, Kandla or Pipavav.

These are India's nearest markets, and they buy in volume. APEDA puts India's agro exports to Bangladesh at about US$2.4 billion in 2024-25. The route differs by country. Bangladesh takes cargo by sea at Chattogram and through land ports. Nepal is landlocked and is supplied overland, not by sea. In both, you hold a plant-quarantine import permit and payment moves through banks.

Afghanistan

Afghanistan is landlocked. The usual route from India is by sea from Mundra or Kandla to Chabahar in Iran, then by road to Zaranj or Islam Qala. Routes through Iran are subject to disruption at present, so routing is confirmed with each quote. Imported food is subject to quality-control tests ordered by the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority, and plant products travel with a phytosanitary certificate. You can request animal feed, pulses, spices or roasted chickpeas. Terms and payment routes are agreed case by case within applicable regulations.

What Buyers Across South Asia Ask For

  • A phytosanitary certificate that matches the plant-quarantine import permit you hold.
  • Payment through banks: an LC opened at a local bank in Bangladesh, and Indian rupee settlement through banks in Nepal.
  • A certificate of origin, needed to claim SAFTA or India-Nepal Treaty of Trade treatment.
  • Bulk bags clearly marked with product, net weight, origin, lot and dates.
  • Stock in hand before festival demand: Ramadan and Eid in Bangladesh, Dashain and Tihar in Nepal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nepal supplied by sea?

No. Nepal is landlocked, so your goods move by truck or rail across India to land customs at Raxaul-Birgunj, Sunauli-Bhairahawa, Jogbani-Biratnagar or Rupaidiha-Nepalgunj. A truck or rail receipt replaces the bill of lading. Transit is confirmed with each quote.

Do Indian farm products pay customs duty in these markets?

In Nepal, primary agricultural products from India are exempt from basic customs duty under the Treaty of Trade; an agriculture reform fee and VAT may apply. Bangladesh gives SAFTA rates only outside its sensitive list, which covers many farm products. Check your HS line with the Landed Cost Calculator.

Do you supply Afghanistan?

Yes. You can request a quote for products in our range. Cargo normally moves by sea to Iran and then by road, and routing is confirmed with each quote. Terms and payment routes are agreed case by case within applicable regulations.
