Feed-Grade Yellow Corn (Maize)
Maize is the main energy grain in animal feed: it makes up about 55% of a typical Indian poultry diet. Elysium Agri supplies feed-grade Indian yellow maize, non-GMO, with moisture below 14% and aflatoxin tested to your limit, for poultry, cattle, pig and aqua feed mills.
This page covers maize bought as feed. For food and starch grades, see our Corn Grain page. Indian maize ships mainly to Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, where short transit keeps it competitive.

Feed-Grade vs Food-Grade Maize
The same Indian yellow maize is sold at different grades. Feed maize allows more damaged and broken grain; food maize has tighter aflatoxin limits.
| Term | Feed grade | Food / starch grade | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moisture | ≤ 14% | ≤ 12–13% | Storage and mould risk |
| Damaged grains | ≤ 5% | ≤ 2–3% | Feed value and price |
| Aflatoxin (EU) | B1 ≤ 20 µg/kg | B1 ≤ 2–5, total ≤ 4–10 µg/kg | Food limits are far stricter |
| Cleaning | Machine-cleaned | Sortexed for food | Cost |

Feed Maize Price: What Sets It
Feed maize is priced per metric tonne FOB, or delivered by rail or road to neighbouring countries.
- Ethanol demand: distilleries now compete with feed mills for maize.
- Support price: MSP 2026-27 is ₹2,410 per quintal.
- Crop: USDA expects India's 2026-27 crop to fall about 10%.
- World prices: Ukraine, US and South American corn plus freight to Asia.
- Aflatoxin grade: lower limits cost more.
Prices move with the crop and the market, so we quote on the day. Tell us your grade, quantity and port for a current FOB, CFR or CIF price.
Tested, Certified and Traceable
Aflatoxin is tested per lot, because it is the main reason maize cargoes are rejected.
- Cleaning and grading
- Lot sampling at loading
- Proximate analysis, sand / silica and aflatoxin B1 tests
- Phytosanitary, fumigation and export documents
