Dehydrated White Onion Granules and Minced
Elysium Agri exports dehydrated white onion granules in 0.2–0.5 mm and 0.5–1 mm grades, and minced onion in 1–3 mm, milled from Mahuva onion. Granules flow freely and disperse evenly, which is why seasoning blenders and snack makers use them.
Every lot is sieved to the stated range, tested for moisture, ash and microbiology, and passed through magnets and a metal detector.

Onion Granules Price: What Sets It
Dehydrated onion is priced per kilo or per metric tonne FOB. India is the world's largest exporter, and Mahuva prices lead the Indian market.
- Fresh onion crop: the Gujarat white-onion harvest (about Feb–May) and its price set the cost; 8–9 kg of fresh onion make 1 kg dry.
- Cut and grade: fine, tightly sieved granules cost more.
- Micro grade: steam-sterilised low-micro lots cost more.
- Competition: Egypt, China and the USA also export; India averaged about US$ 1.96/kg in 2024.
- Freight: light cargo means fewer tonnes per container.
Prices move with the crop and the market, so we quote on the day. Tell us your grade, quantity and port for a current FOB, CFR or CIF price.
Tested, Certified and Traceable
Low-micro lots are steam-sterilised; we never use ethylene oxide.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are onion granules?
Onion granules are dehydrated onion milled into small, free-flowing particles of about 0.2–1 mm, between minced onion and onion powder. They blend evenly and don't cake as easily as powder.
What is the difference between onion granules and onion powder?
Granules are coarser (0.2–1 mm) and flow freely; powder is fine (80–100 mesh) and dissolves into sauces. Granules give a little texture; powder gives none.
What is minced onion?
Minced onion is dehydrated onion cut to about 1–3 mm, larger than granules and smaller than chopped.
What is the specification of onion granules for export?
Typically 0.2–0.5 or 0.5–1 mm, moisture ≤ 6%, total ash ≤ 5%, acid-insoluble ash ≤ 0.5%, plate count ≤ 10⁵ cfu/g and Salmonella absent in 25 g.
Is dehydrated onion from India tested for Salmonella?
Yes. Every lot is tested for Salmonella, E. coli, coliforms, plate count and yeast and mould. Buyers who need low microbial counts can order steam-sterilised onion.
Does Indian dehydrated onion face EU border checks?
No. Dried onion from India is not listed for increased checks under Regulation (EU) 2019/1793. It must still meet EU limits for pesticides and contaminants.
Who exports onion granules from India?
Elysium Agri Corporation, based in Jamnagar, Gujarat, exports white onion granules and minced onion from Mahuva, tested for micro and pesticides.
