- Whether your plant-quarantine import permit must cover meals and cakes. The phytosanitary certificate refers to this permit.
- Which approval Nepal asks for on feed ingredients. DFTQC certification is required for food.
- Whether your item counts as a primary product under the India-Nepal Treaty of Trade. Primary agricultural products enter free of basic customs duty.
- The agriculture reform fee and VAT that apply.
- Some feed mills ask for ISO 22000 or HACCP papers. Tell us what you need and see certificates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you match the protein level in my formulation?
Tell us the protein, moisture and fibre figures you buy to. The quote names the figures offered, and the Certificate of Analysis reports them for the lot.
Does a large feed order need a letter of credit?
A 2018 Nepal Rastra Bank rule requires a letter of credit for imports from India above INR 50 million per consignment. Smaller orders go by bank draft or transfer in Indian rupees. Ask your bank for the current limit.
Can maize and soybean meal come from one supplier?

Can my own inspector check the lot before it leaves?
Yes. Inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek is welcome before loading, and you can appoint them for sampling and weight checks on your behalf. Our own process is described under quality.
