What Feed Cargo Needs at Bangladesh Customs
The Department of Livestock Services covers animal feed. Feed paperwork differs from food paperwork, and the analysis certificate carries more weight.
- An import permit, which for feed is valid for one year.
- A Certificate of Analysis showing the feed is free of chloramphenicol, nitrofuran, melamine and similar substances.
- A radiation certificate for Cs-137, with a limit of 50 Bq/kg.
- A non-GMO declaration is commonly asked for. GMO material needs Ministry of Environment approval.
- USDA Dhaka reports no import tariff on soybean meal for feed, with a 3 percent advance income tax. Check other meals by HS code, then total your costs in the landed cost calculator.

Is de-oiled rice bran available all year?
Not always. India has restricted exports of de-oiled rice bran at times and lifted the restriction at others. Ask for the current position when you request a quote. If it cannot ship, we will say so.
