Indian Pulses for UAE Wholesalers, Repackers and Caterers

Six pulse lines from Gujarat, bagged with the label details your UAE registration needs.

Elysium Agri Corporation exports Indian pulses to importers in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The range covers green moong, moong mogar, urad, pigeon peas, red and green lentils and green peas. Lots are cleaned at specialist units in Gujarat, tested at an NABL-accredited lab and loaded at Mundra, Kandla or Pipavav.

Pulses are a staple line in the trade between India and the Emirates. India shipped about US$138 million of pulses to the UAE in 2025. The order is decided by even grain size, clean sorting and a bag that passes label inspection at the port.

  • Arabic is mandatory. Bulk bags carry the same particulars as retail packs: name, origin, net weight, lot number, date and manufacturer.
  • A health certificate from the competent authority in India travels with the consignment.
  • Buyers check pesticide residues against UAE.S MRL 1/2019. Dubai asks for laboratory results on first-time imports.
  • Duty depends on your HS line and is confirmed with your quote. Estimate the total with the landed cost calculator.

Packing and Shipping

  • See packaging.
  • Loading at Mundra, Kandla or Pipavav. Plan your quantity with the container load calculator.
  • The Strait of Hormuz has been effectively closed to commercial shipping since 28 February 2026. Carriers currently discharge UAE cargo at Khor Fakkan and Fujairah, and move Jebel Ali cargo by bonded land-bridge. Routing and transit are confirmed with each quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do bags of pulses need an expiry date for the UAE?

No. Dried legumes are exempt. They must show a production, harvest or packing date, printed or embossed on the original bag. A date on a sticker is rejected.

Can the same pulse be shipped in bulk bags and in retail pouches?

Yes, but each pack size is registered separately on ZAD or FIRS before import. Send the full list of sizes with your quote request, so label particulars for each reach you before loading.

Are your pulses grown in India, so that we can use CEPA?

CEPA requires raw agricultural products to be wholly obtained in India. Check your HS line rate with your customs broker.

Which test reports come with a pulses lot?

Every export lot has a Certificate of Analysis from an NABL-accredited lab. Name the parameters your buyer checks and the test scope is agreed in the quote. See lab testing.
