Indian Sesame, Turmeric, Peanuts and Spices for Kazakhstan, Documented for EAC Clearance
Lab-tested lots from Gujarat, with the reports your customs broker needs.
You can source sesame, turmeric, peanuts and seed spices for Kazakhstan from Elysium Agri Corporation, an exporter in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Each lot is tested at an NABL-accredited lab and loaded at Mundra, Kandla or Pipavav. Kazakhstan reported about US$0.9 million of sesame imports from India in 2024.
Kazakhstan grows its own wheat, lentils and flax, so the lines worth buying from India are the ones your fields do not produce. Clearance depends on an EAC declaration of conformity, and you receive the Certificate of Analysis and specification your broker needs for it.

View detailsImport Rules Your Side of the Border
Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, so EAEU technical regulations apply: TR CU 021/2011 on food safety and TR CU 022/2011 on labelling.
- The importer must be registered with the Kazakh tax authorities and use a licensed customs broker.
- An EAC declaration of conformity must be in place before clearance. You or your authorised EAEU representative registers it.
- High phytosanitary-risk plant products need a phytosanitary certificate for each lot.
- Packaged food labels show product name, ingredients, net quantity, dates, storage conditions, manufacturer, importer and the EAC mark.
Duty and Trade Agreement Status
India has no trade agreement in force with Kazakhstan. India and the Eurasian Economic Union signed terms of reference for free trade talks in August 2025; there is no tariff effect yet. Kazakhstan applies the EAEU Common Customs Tariff, and US trade.gov reports agricultural tariffs averaging about 6 percent. Your broker confirms the rate for your HS code. Shipping from Gujarat to Kazakhstan
Every order is sea plus rail. The established service ran from Mundra to Bandar Abbas, then by rail to Sorokovaya station in Astana. Sea traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted since 28 February 2026, so no transit time is promised here. Routing and transit are confirmed with each quote.
- Option: sea to a Chinese port, then rail through Khorgos/Altynkol or Dostyk.
- Option: the Trans-Caspian route through Poti, Baku and the ferry to Aktau or Kuryk.
- Plan volume with the container load calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who registers the EAC declaration of conformity?
An applicant resident in the EAEU registers it: you as importer, or your authorised representative. You receive our Certificate of Analysis, specification and label details for the file, which must be ready before customs clearance.
Can I start with a small trial order?
Many importers in Kazakhstan test a new product in a small volume first.
How will my cargo reach Almaty or Astana, and how long will it take?
By sea from Mundra, Kandla or Pipavav and then by rail. Routes through Iran are disrupted at present, so the routing and expected transit are confirmed in writing with each quote, not promised here.
Do the bags need Russian or Kazakh text?
TR CU 022/2011 asks for labelling in Russian, and Kazakhstan uses Kazakh and Russian on documentation. Check the rule for bulk transport bags with your broker.
What payment terms apply for Kazakhstan?
For a first order, advance payment or an irrevocable confirmed letter of credit is usual in this market. Your bank records the contract under currency control rules.
